Integrating Water-Based Fire Protection System into MEP Design: Collaborative Approach

For the last ASPE OC meting of 2026, we will be hosting a joint lunch meeting with SoCal SFPE at Sprinkler Fitters U.A. Local 709 in Whittier, CA. The topic for this meeting is Integrating Water-Based Fire Protection Systems into MEP Design: A Collaborative Approach and will be presented by Andres Jimenez, PE, CPD, CFPS with P2S.

This presentation highlights the importance of coordination and collaboration among MEP disciplines to successfully integrate water-based fire protection systems into building design. From water supply and drainage requirements to electrical power needs for fire pumps, we'll explore the key considerations for ensuring the reliability, operation, and end-user satisfaction of these critical systems. By working together, we can deliver effective and efficient fire protection solutions that meet the needs of building owners and occupants.
